ANE 30kW pitch controlled wind turbine is successfully completion in Kaishan Island, No more worry for the water and electricity in the hero island!
Kaishan Island is an isolated island with an area of only 0.013 square kilometers and lacks of water and electricity. It is also called the Yellow Sea Outpost because of its strategic location.
Regarding to Kaishan Island, local fishermen often said: "Less food, less fresh water, less soil but more stone; Birds do not make nests, but typhoons often come." Since the harsh natural environment of Kaishan Island, the previous four patch of guards stayed not so long time, the longest people stayed 13 days and the shortest is only 3 days. In 1986, Mr. Wang Jicai aged 26 resolutely boarded Kaishan Island. Then his determination, courage and perseverance infected his wife Ms. Wang Shihua, she followed Wang Jicai to Kaishan Island and built a “female whistle”.
The "time model" Wang Jicai and Wang Shihua have insisted on the story of defending the island and contributing to the country for 32 years. They overcome the difficulties which the ordinary people can not imagine, and they have touched countless people by taking "I am keeping the sea defense for the motherland forever" as a lifelong undertaking. At the end of 2018, State Grid Jiangsu Power decided to build a smart micro grid system and a desalination system on the island to improve the working and living environment of the islanders.
On January 17, 2019, the first phase of the Kaishan Island Micro grid Transition Project was completed and been put into operation, ensuring the electricity requirement for the island's militia in field of winter heating, lighting, and communications.
On 24th May, 2019, ANE 30kW pitch controlled wind turbine and 20m hydraulic tower installation were completion. The marks of the tower surface “The family is the Island, The island is the motherland” makes a great striking. The wind turbine system installation means this micro grid system have been entered into the second phase, also means the electricity supply system being into the 2.0 time!
The next step is the complete of solar power system, energy storage system and micro grid system test run etc. The total finished time will be about at middle of June. At that time, the 30kW wind turbine, 120kW solar panel, 600kWh energy storage system and the seawater desalination system (with 10 tons fresh water daily generation) will provide the fresh water and green energy to solve the water and electricity supply completely at this island!
